What is Chiledoc?
Chiledoc was founded in 2018 in response to the need to provide visibility and to position the Chilean documentary film on the international scene, aiming to promote and establish global collaboration networks for the audiovisual production of Chilean documentaries, fostering exportation efforts.
The mission of the Chiledoc team is to strengthen the positioning of the Chilean documentary sector. This is achieved through participation in international markets and the development of multi-focal communication actions that benefit all the talents of the Chilean documentary industry, promoting the country’s image through a strategy deployed in activities and events for professional relationships with all our networks, trying to contribute to the growth of the export sector in target territories, which, in this third period, include France, Germany, the United States, and Brazil.
Chiledoc is a public-private partnership between ProChile, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs division, and the Chilean Documentary Corporation (CCDoc).
Chiledoc, a collective force
Chiledoc brings together the Chilean documentary sector under two principles that define us: the associative work of our community and the diversity of our productions.
In Chiledoc, we embrace our associative capacity and diversity as pillars of our strength. We highlight the value of the complement that flourishes thanks to the multiplicity of perspectives, proudly recognizing that we are much more than a sector: we are a collective force.
