A MUTUAL LAND portrays different socio-environmental recovery zones of CHILE, observing the impact of extractive economies on human rights and the environment, emphasizing the resilience of their communities and their endemic flora and fauna. The characters will be diverse and their role will make visible the web of life of which they are a part, questioning other possibilities of the world.
Director
Carlos Sepúlveda is a Chilean filmmaker from the Arcis University, Master in Media Arts from the University of Chile. He has worked as a correspondent for Latin America at AFP Agency. His short films include “Campo” and “La tierra del olvido”. He is currently working on the documentary «Los árboles nos cuenta» which was awarded the Sundance Production Fund and the documentary series «Unidad Vecinal» and «Entre las montañas de mi barrio» which were awarded the CNTV Fund.
Producer
Filmmaker specialized in Directing, graduated from the ARCIS University. Macarena has a diploma in Audiovisual Executive Production (PUC) and is a graduate of the Master’s in Cultural Management from the University of Chile. She has served as executive producer of various projects, among the following stand out: Documentary series «Huellas al Margen», fiction feature film «Cada uno tiene su cada uno», the documentary feature film «Los Árboles nos cuentan» and the documentary series «Unidad Vecinal», «Among the mountains of my neighborhood” and “Memoria Férrea” awarded by the CNTV fund.
