Synopsis

In a street named like the island, in Havana, four women from different generations fight to improve their lives, determined to lead their destiny, protect their loved ones and face the uncertainty of a country that survives only by a miracle.

    He studied dramaturgy at the ISA (Cuba) and film at the EMAV in Barcelona. His feature documentary Los que se quedaron (2015) won the Memorireus award for best documentary.

    He works as a filmmaker and DOP. He studied filmmaking at IES Sant Ignasi in Barcelona and photography at IDEP. Studied film directing at EICTV (Cuba).

  • Claudia

    Olivera Peña

    Producer

    Graduated in production at the Faculty of Audiovisual Communication at ISA in Havana. Attended numerous workshops at EICTV. She has produced fiction and documentary short and feature films. One of her projects as a producer is the feature film AGOSTO, had its world premiere at TIFF and its European premiere at SSIFF 2019. She is the founder of Dsafía Producciones, based in Chile and Havana.
