Synopsis

In the inhospitable Antarctic continent, the planet’s natural laboratory, a group of daring scientists goes on a risky mission: to discover the keys that could allow humanity to survive the changes that the future brings. Under the ice they seem to find the answer: adapt or die. They have to face the first task by themselves.

    Journalist and documentalist, Master in Public Policies from the University of Bristol. «Antarctic Mission» is his debut as a documentary feature film director. In 2021 he premiered the short film «Anum Lawenche», official selection at the SILBERSALZ Science & Media Awards Festival in Germany and at the Fiorenzo Serra Film Festival in Italy. That same year he premiered his first documentary series as a director, «Ancestral Secret», which won the «Gran Premio Nuestra América 2022» from the Latin American public channel network TAL TV.

    Documentalist, Journalist, graduated in Social Communication, she has dedicated her 25-year career as a producer, director, screenwriter and researcher. Her productions have won various international awards, including an EMMY Award nomination. “Chicago Boys”, her debut feature film as a director, won Best Direction at Sanfic 2016, Pedro Sienna Award 2016 for Best Documentary, Nuestra América Award at DOCSMX Festival 2016 and Best Documentary at Sunscreen Film Festival 2017.

    Founder of the production company La Ventana Cine. Executive producer, director and editor of dozens of series and documentaries that have received numerous international awards, such as: Sanfic 2016 Best Director, Pedro Sienna 2016 Award for Best Documentary, Nuestra América Award at the 2016 DOCSMX Festival, and Best Documentary Award at Sunscreen Film Festival 2017, all for his debut “Chicago Boys”, co-directed with Carola Fuentes.

    Producer of non-fiction formats, with more than 20 years of experience. He has produced dozens of documentaries and series in more than 40 countries. His productions have won various international awards, including an EMMY Award nomination. He has produced content for international channels such as Asahi TV, Univisión, ARTE, Canal Encuentro and Al Jazeera, and co-produced with Armenia, the Basque Country, BBC Scotland, Señal Colombia and Al Jazeera.
