Chiledoc is once again part of Conecta, Meeting of the International Documentary Film Industry

The 9th edition of Conecta, International Documentary Industry Meeting will be held from December 10 to 13 in Santiago of Chile. Chiledoc once again supports this unique event which connects 73 Latin American documentary proyects with 79 documentary industry representatives from around the world. In total, 28 countries from the America, Europe and Asia are participating in the event.

● The international industry representatives who will be on site are: Jean-Jacques Peretti from Sunny Side of the Doc, Paulina Portela from Compañía de Cine, Isabel Arrate from the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam IDFA, Bruni Burres from the Sundance Documentary Film Program, Renato Manganello from Utopia Docs, Leonardo Ordoñez from the Málaga Festival Fund MAFF, Sean Flynn from Points North Institute, Jane Mote from The Whickers, Esteban Vidal from Warner Bros. Discovery, Max and HBO, Alexandre Marionneau from ARTE France, Tiago Ornaghi from Globoplay, and Keisha Knight from the International Documentary Association IDA.

● In addition, two workshops will be held – the Funding and Market Application Workshop with the guidance of Isabel Arrate; and the Connect with your Roots Workshop, in alliance with the Documentary Film Program of the Sundance Institute, and the Chilean Documentary Corporation CCDoc.

● The selected projects will be able to participate in networking activities and more than 900 – online and on site- meetings with Chileans and internationals industry representatives.

Pitch The Whickers

For the third consecutive year, the British fund The Whickers will award three thousand pounds sterling to one of the eight Latin American debut films selected.

Docs in Progress FIDOCS + Conecta

In a four-year alliance, the Santiago International Documentary Film Festival FIDOCS and Conecta will hold the Docs in Progress FIDOCS + Conecta, in which 6 feature films from Colombia, Peru, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Chile will be selected for the editing stage.
