After the injustice of being robbed of the prize for the best longaniza sausage in Chile, a spontaneous social movement surfaces in the small town of San Carlos, looking to obtain the precious denomination of origin and recover the pride and dignity.
Director
TOMÁS ALZAMORA (San Carlos, 1989). Director, screenwriter, and producer, founder of the Chilean production company EQUECO. He has directed numerous music videos for Chilean and international artists. In 2017, he released his debut feature film Little White Lie , winning the Best Screenplay award at the Miami Film Festival. In 2019, he won the Best Short Documentary award at the In-Edit Chile Festival with Algo está pasando. In 2022, he premiered his fiction short film For Some Horses, winning the Warner Media Award. In 2024, he released his second feature film Designation of origin, which won the Audience Award at FIC Valdivia. He is the founder and artistic director of the Ñuble National Film Festival.
Producer
PABLO CALISTO (Santiago, 1991). Film producer. In 2016, he founded the company EQUECO with the goal of promoting young filmmakers with fresh and bold perspectives. His projects have been featured in international market events such as EAVE Puentes, Locarno Industry Days, and Guadalajara Film Market, and have received awards at Clermont-Ferrand, Biarritz, and Miami. He has worked in film distribution and festivals, serving as a producer for SANFIC Industria. He is also the founder of the Ñuble Film Festival.
