Simón (33), an actor with Down syndrome living in the countryside, dreams of starring in a TV series to share his world. Between memories of his childhood acting days and the challenges of the present, he faces his parents' doubts and his own resilience. On his journey, he will discover that dreams, though difficult, can transform both his life and the lives of those around him.
Director
Julieta Herrera is a Chilean filmmaker born in Chillán and a graduate of Audiovisual Creation at the Universidad Austral de Chile. Her work explores human connection and reflection. Her first video essay, No More Dictatorship of Inhumanity (2019), was created in the context of the social uprising and showcased in international exhibitions. In 2023, she directed Crearte for a Better World, a documentary about how painting builds community among neurodivergent individuals, presented at the Ñuble National Film Festival. Her latest work, Encounter in the Abyss (2024), is a collaboration with Ramón Griffero, inspired by the dramaturgy of space.
