Synopsis

A spirit comes back to 2019’s Chile reincarnated as a working class man who dreams about a social outbreak. In the middle of a rampageous country he finds himself with drivers forced to dance, walls intervened with messages of humor and protest, and police violence. Viralized recordings from the internet intertwine with fiction to narrate the experiences of a country divided between drama and the absurd, ilusion and failure.

    He was born in Calama, 1984. He is a director and writer. He directed «El viaje espacial» (Feature film winner of the Fidocs national competition, 2019). He co-directed «Propaganda» (2014) and «Dios» (2019) for the MAFI collective. He co-directed the short film “Las manos” by the CCPCH collective, (finalist of the Juan Downey international competition, 2022). He published the books «Ejercicios de encuadre» (2014), «Historial de navegación» (2016) and «Floating Population» (2019). He has worked as a teacher in the areas of screenwriting, directing and documentary production. He is currently making the films «Hhe who dances passes» and «Floating Population».

    Director, screenwriter and producer. She has worked for more than 15 years in the documentary area. In 2011 she directed the documentary «Hija». She has been a producer of documentaries such as «Robar a Rodin» (Cristóbal Valenzuela) and «El viaje Espacial» (Carlos Araya Díaz) and is also a co-writer of the documentary «Visión Nocturna» (Carolina Moscoso). Her fiction debut “Lina de Lima” (2019) premiered in the Discovery section of the Toronto Festival and awarded at the Cleveland, Fribourg and Valdivia Festivals. She is currently working on the development of new fiction and documentary feature films, also dedicating herself to teaching film.
