Fresia, a young Pewenche (Mapuche) woman from Upper Biobío river, who is pregnant and following the rules of the Chilean health system must leave her community to give birth in the city. She returns home with her baby and the experience of two worlds that do not know each other.
Director
Chilean filmmaker, born in 1982. He worked as a rural doctor in the Pewenche territory of Biobío before training in directing fiction in the regular course of EICTV (Cuba). He is the director of Lemuntu Producciones, from which he has made observational documentaries such as «La Máscara de Arbenin» (2021) and «Tübachi monguen mu» (2019), and in co-direction with José Carihuentro community film experiences, such as «Pentukuwün, traveling with images» (2016).
Producer
Michel Toledo is a Chilean director, screenwriter and producer. He studied Cinema at the University of Valparaíso, Chile; Advanced Screenwriting at EICTV, Cuba and has a Master’s Degree in Film and Digital Image from the University of Sydney in Australia. He is the founder and creative director of Totem Producciones, a company dedicated to creating audiovisual projects for film, television and digital media.
