Synopsis

Dimas and Isabel lived in Arica when new border limits were imposed between Peru and Chile, dividing their descendants. Their great-granddaughter searches for her identity, crossing the limits of her memory, family chronicles and official discourses that shape the history of both countries.

    Tacna-born filmmaker, audiovisual producer, and teacher. Member of the Maizal Cultural Association, an itinerant research and audiovisual creation team. Pre-professor at the Faculty of Communication and Arts of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, and facilitator of community film projects and workshops for adolescents in detention. She has participated in the production of several audiovisual and cinematographic projects as a camerawoman, editor, and screenwriter.

    Film director, producer, and cultural manager, with a master’s degree in film curatorship from Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola. Her short film «Muyurina-Itzuli Mitzuli» premiered at the 2024 Punto de Vista Festival. Recipient of the Prince Claus Seed Awards 2023 and alumni of the Locarno Industry Academy. She has produced five feature films and has been head of production on several others. She is currently developing her debut feature, «Mayu», awarded by the Ministry of Culture of Peru in 2021.

    Audiovisual Director at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and co-founder of Mimbre Films. Rocío has produced the films «Naomi Campbel»(FICValdivia 2013, CPH:DOX 2014, Best Direction CinemaTropical 2015), «Plants» (Best Film Award and Youth Jury Award, Generation 14+ Berlinale 2016), and «If they soak me, I’ll burn them» (Rotterdam IFF 2019), among other productions. She is currently developing the documentary «Thirst» by Vicente Barros and «Silence will come, and I’ll be gone» by Coti Donoso.
