Synopsis

A personal story of a man’s quest for justice, who dedicated his life to unraveling the darkest secrets about how and why his country, the United States, the champion of freedom and democracy, supported and protected the dictator who persecuted and murdered thousands, including his friends.

  Chilean producer and documentary filmmaker, whose productions include fiction series such as «Noticia de un Secuestro» (2022- five Platinum Awards), «Dignidad» (Cannes Series 2020 and Grimme Preis selection); «Mary & Mike» (2018); «Ramona» (2017), best dramatic series at the Biarritz Festival.

  She directed the feature documentaries «Locas Mujeres» (2011), Pedro Sienna Best Documentary and SANFIC Audience Award, and «Michelle Bachelet: La hija del general» (2005) and produced the award-winning documentary series «Nuestro Siglo» (1999).

  In 2005 she founded Maria Wood Producciones, which currently develops and produces film and television projects for different markets, with clients and partners such as ZDF Studios, The MediaPro Studio, Sony Pictures, Sony Music, Freemantle, Nadcon (Germany), Mediacrest (Spain), Pimiento (Canada).
