In 2021, actor Tomás Vidiella dies. His sister, Eliana, hands over to a team of researchers the archive that will establish the Café-Theater and Cabaret genres in Chile. Vidiella seems to want to portray herself from her archive; He defines himself as a “beast of theater.” His colleagues help us to pursue the desire and delirium of the person who reopened the dusty “Hollywood” theater to bring the first transvestite character of our theater on stage: Lulú from Cabaret Bijoux.

Jonathan Aravena, playwright, theater researcher, and responsible for organizing the archives of actress Ana González, photographer René Combeau, and chileescena. «El archivo de una bestia» (The Archive of a Beast) is his debut film. With it, he embarks on a research process into the archives of actor Tomás Vidiella, initiating a creative phase that brings the study of theatricality to audiovisual media, observing the particular expression found in art archives and seeking new ways to narrate their existence, making this his debut feature.
